The Tapville Story
Joseph Tota
Founder & CEO
Tapville was founded in 2016 by Joseph Tota with a mission to reimagine the guest experience in the hospitality industry. Like many of us, Joseph had experienced the common frustrations that come with dining out—long wait times, difficulty getting a server’s attention, and inefficiencies that took away from the joy of sharing a meal or drink. As someone with a deep understanding of business operations from his background in management consulting, Joseph saw an opportunity to modernize the restaurant experience through technology, self-service innovation, and streamlined service models.
With a passion for creating frictionless guest interactions, Joseph developed the Tapville concept to merge hospitality with convenience. The goal was simple: eliminate the pain points of traditional dining and empower both guests and operators through better tools and smarter service design. By 2020, after refining the model and seeing growing interest from operators across the country, Joseph and his team officially launched the Tapville franchise brand.
Since then, Tapville has grown into a forward-thinking hospitality platform with locations nationwide. Joseph’s vision continues to be driven by a desire to improve how people connect over food and drink, while helping business owners thrive in a rapidly evolving industry. Outside of Tapville, Joseph is an avid ultra-runner, serves on several non-profit boards, and remains committed to supporting causes that build stronger communities.
