Tapville Member Card Deactivation

Member Cards that are created have to be deactivated through this process. Card deactivations may occur when a card is created accidentally or left behind for a member. It’s important to deactivate cards to protect the members balance or to reduce waste of cards that can’t be reused. Member deactivations are completed within 48 hours of the request. There are two types of deactivation:

1. Delete - Deletes are when the member has zero balance or a card was created accidentally. Deletes will remove all history and balances with the card. Members that are deleted will no longer be searchable in the system.

2. Detach - Detaches are used to disassociate the member card from the member account. Member information and balances are still retained, but a new card would have to be attached by searching for the member. Detaches are typically used when the member leaves their card at the venue.
